Catherine 8th November 2020

This year I sat listening to the fireworks and watching through the window, I went back 30 years to our first visit to Victoria Park bonfire night, smiling at the memory of you going in search of sparklers for me, your face full of glee, returning successful and the two of us playing like kids. Our last autumn walk in 2019, I have been back this autumn. The sky was clear, the colours of nature just as vibrant this year but the leaves not quite as crisp, I could hear your voice and see that face you pull when you don’t like what I say. I sat in the same place and could feel your presence. I picked up the leaves throwing them in the air, this time without the stick! It was good to remember a happy time and hear your words “To the moon and back in an everlasting circle, always and forever” Who would have guessed your words that day would be such a precious gift. Sharing on Dad's birthday and Remembrance Sunday with kind thoughts and love.
